The Hangover was really funny!

The Hangover starts with what you see in the trailer. Phil(Bradley Cooper) is on the phone telling his friend's fiance(Sasha Barrese) that they lost the groom. From then on, the jokes and funny moments(awkward at times) come one after another. The story is very simple and will not surprise you. The Hangover is totally character driven but yet none of the characters have a real character arch. The situations that the characters find themselves in are not very realistic but the audacity of it makes it work. You WILL be entertained!!
Director Todd Phillips is back after movies like Old School and School for Scoundrels(forget about Starsky & Hutch). I have to say that I love his style in The Hangover. The cinematography, the editing and the music were awesome. Well... ok, I did find it weird that the music for the first few scenes was really high tempo with Kanye and T.I. but then it changes gears a little.
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis(the funniest character we've had in a long time) make a great team. They each feed very well on one another to make you laugh at even the weird and awkward moments. All the supporting characters were perfectly cast. Todd Phillips knows what he is doing... Ken Jeong, Jeffrey Tambor(underused talent in this movie) and Mike Tyson were very very funny.
The film does revel in hurting its characters but we all get in on it. You will not regret watching The Hangover if you're into comedy.
I say see it!! Sometimes, that's all you need a movie to be... Nice aesthetics, nice music cues, great cinematography and funny characters = ENTERTAINEMENT!!!
