Minority Movie Report - Aisha

I went to see Transformers a couple nights ago.

I thought with all the hype, and the fact that it had had a week out, and it was a Tuesday night (we don't have cheap Tuesdays anymore), that it wouldn't be a problem. However, while we had arrived a half hour early, we were still stuck in the front row.

I have to admit, I wasn't totally impressed with the first transformers, it was flashy, there was some cool action, but it wasn't that great.

Then I saw transformers two, and I am going to say it was déjà vu. The machines usually moved too fast, and really, I wanted to see a cool transformation like in the cartoon.

Also, the whole Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox relationship makes me want to barf at the best of times. Perhaps I got used to her lovely face in all the pictures, but as it turns out, I don't like hearing her talk, or seeing her moving really. It might be the director's fault but the whispy voice doesn't suit her. I find her allure is that while she is a beautiful woman, her beauty is a strong one. When her voice goes all lame it just kind of turns the whole thing off for me.

Anyway, outside of how let down I felt with Megan Fox's voice (wtf? I know I'm weird), the movie was fun, but it seemed long, and it seemed like a rerun. I didn't find it much different than the last movie, there was just more army.

And there was a near death experience that was just the very worst. It was the epitome of corny. Thats all I will say about that.

Am I happy I saw it? Yes. Would I see it again? Most likely. Would I ever ask to see it again? No.
