Minority Movie Report - Gerald

I'm starved for comedy so I decided to watch Fan boys. First of all I cannot believe I finished the whole movie. It was far from funny, Seth Rogan did his best to help the cause but it just didn't do it for me.

Now, I am not a Star Wars fan, have never watched a star wars movie in my life. This may contribute to why I didn't enjoy the movie much. I am however a James Bond fan so I tried to imagine if the plot was about getting to watch the latest Bond flick as opposed to the Star Wars flick, would this have changed my perspective on the movie. Well the answer would be NO!

Anyhow for those interested and intend to watch Fan boys (I know there are people out there because after watching the trailer I thought it would be funny too) the movie is about a group of fans 4 boys and a chick, these fans decide to go to Skywalker ranch to steal the new Star Wars movie. When I say steal I mean it in the DVD pirate way i.e. illegally watching a movie. They didn't want to take the movie with them they just wanted to watch it before it got released. Why would they do something as foolish as this you may ask? Well two reasons:
1. They are foolish and fanatical about Star Wars.
2. One of the group members is dying of cancer and thus by the time the movie gets released he would have died, so they want him to get to watch it.

That’s the plot in a nut shell, speaking of nuts; one of the four boys has one nut incidentally so you can imagine a joke was going to come out of this disability.

All this torture for me because I cannot wait to watch this summer’s blockbuster comedies which are in order of preference:
1. The Hangover
2. The Land of the Lost
3. Year One
